Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kappi Bateman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Solid Snake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bateman comes to the cage accompanied by 20th century boy. Solid Snake acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kappi Bateman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Solid Snake!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bateman looks to land a combination but Snake avoids it well.
Snake looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bateman connects with a crisp jab.

and Bateman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Snake looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bateman takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Bateman works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Bateman throws a head kick that Snake semi-blocks.
Snake shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bateman defends it nicely.

and Bateman makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Bateman lets loose with a powerful body kick. Snake will feel that in the morning.

Bateman scores with a one two! Snake had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Bateman throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Snake's head.

Bateman slaps away a takedown attempt from Snake, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Snake bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bateman's head.
Bateman throws a nice looking combination but Snake bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Snake shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bateman but Bateman pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bateman is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Snake tries to pull guard but Bateman won't allow it.

Bateman's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Bateman's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Bateman bucks up and throws Snake to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!
Oh Bateman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Solid Snake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kappi Bateman will probably get the nod.
That's time! Bateman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Snake looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bateman is fending him off so far but Snake persists. Nope, Bateman circles away and we're back to standing.
