PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Railroad Charlie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walt Schwanbeck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schwanbeck is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by destroy everything. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Walt Schwanbeck!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Schwanbeck shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Charlie is looking to get to half guard.
Charlie is squirming around, avoiding Schwanbeck's attempts to control the action.
Charlie really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Schwanbeck is looking to stand but Schwanbeck has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Charlie is trying to escape the mount.

Charlie is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Charlie is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Schwanbeck lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Charlie hang on?
Schwanbeck has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Charlie's face.
Charlie looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Schwanbeck is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Schwanbeck lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Charlie tries to roll but Schwanbeck sticks to his back.

Schwanbeck keeps control of the position easily here as Charlie tries to buck him off.

Schwanbeck has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Charlie has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Schwanbeck working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Schwanbeck gets his hands free as Charlie looks to control.

Schwanbeck goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Charlie escapes and is now in half guard on top.
Schwanbeck is pressing down on Charlie's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Charlie advances to half guard.
Charlie blocks the strikes from Schwanbeck.

Charlie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Schwanbeck does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Charlie thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Schwanbeck's head.
Schwanbeck wants to improve his position but Charlie is controlling well.

Charlie is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Charlie scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Charlie throws the left hand but Schwanbeck avoids the punch easily.

Schwanbeck gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Schwanbeck has hold of one of Charlie's legs. Charlie is fighting the takedown attempt but Schwanbeck gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Charlie is looking for a triangle but Schwanbeck pushes his legs off easily.
Schwanbeck throws a big right hand that misses.
Schwanbeck wants to stand but Charlie is controlling his posture from full guard.
Walt Schwanbeck has got the better of the ground game so far.

Charlie looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Schwanbeck is defending well. Charlie quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Schwanbeck has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Charlie celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Railroad Charlie!
