Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vernon Roche (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Weed Hopper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roche comes into the arena with Papa Roach - Crash blaring out of the sound system. Weed Hopper has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

It looks like Weed Hopper has been cut.
Roche lands a slapping body shot.
Roche works over Hopper's head and body with a nice combination.
Hopper fails with a takedown attempt.
Hopper shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Roche but Roche pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Hopper shoots in and drives through. Roche sprawls well.
Hopper shoots in looking for a takedown but Roche manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hopper's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Hopper is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Roche ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hopper moves away.
Hopper will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Hopper is trying desperately to land a takedown but Roche is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Hopper.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Roche lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Hopper has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

Weed Hopper's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Hopper shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hopper was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
