Jackson is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jackson to the ground. Shaw is now in Jackson's guard.
Jackson is breathing heavily.
Shaw slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Shaw makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Shaw's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Shaw with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Shaw has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Shaw looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Jackson can't hide his disappointment, as Shaw celebrates the victory.
