Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bertie Bassett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gzrel Mephistopheles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bassett kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is ET. Bertie Bassett looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mephistopheles stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mephistopheles wants it to stay on the feet.
Mephistopheles moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Bertie Bassett has been cut.
Mephistopheles closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Bassett tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mephistopheles just stands there and leans against the cage.
Mephistopheles turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Mephistopheles manages to end up in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Mephistopheles thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bassett is breathing heavily.
Mephistopheles lands a big left to the face of Bassett, bouncing his head like a basketball. Another shot from Mephistopheles and another - Bassett is out! Mephistopheles stands up and salutes his fans, who are going crazy in the stands.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Gzrel Mephistopheles!
