Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Kayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Risky Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen In The Morning as his entrance music. Risky Jones told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mark Kayne!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Risky Jones!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Bruno Lombardi and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kayne throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kayne throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jones goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
A head kick from Jones lands but Kayne takes it in his stride.
Kayne lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Jones checks the leg kick nicely there.
Nice shot lands for Kayne.
Kayne tries to land a front kick but Jones steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kayne.
Kayne lands with a nice body punch.
Jones fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kayne has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jones fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kayne looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Mark Kayne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kayne tries to land a leg kick but Jones saw it coming and moves away.

Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Jones looks to score with a jab to the body but Kayne is just out of range.
Kayne seems to have got his legs back now.
Jones lands a lovely overhand right.

Kayne jabs Jones right on the nose. Jones blinks but takes it well.
Kayne thows a leg kick but Jones checks it
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Kayne checks the leg kick nicely there.

Jones closes the distance and clinches.
Kayne blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Jones lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Jones wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kayne has him pressed against the cage.

Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jones's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kayne connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jones scrambles back to his feet.
Jones on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Kayne works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


A looping hook to the body misses from Kayne. Jones does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jones wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Jones throws a head kick but Kayne moves out of range.
Jones checks a low kick from Kayne.
Jones loads up on a big right hand but Kayne slips the punch.
Kayne swings for the body but Jones moves out of range.
Jones uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kayne.
Kayne throws a hook but Jones blocks it.
Kayne throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Jones's head.
Jones throws a leg kick but Kayne moved away.
Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kayne manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

A nice combination there by Kayne.
Kayne scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Jones takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Jones throws a nice looking combination but Kayne bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kayne was well out of range. Poor timing from Jones.

Kayne takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kayne throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Jones misses with a head kick.

enabling Kayne to counter with a crisp jab.
Crunch! Jones slams his shin into Kayne's torso.
Jones tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Kayne makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Kayne has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kayne swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Risky Jones seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Kayne lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively.

Kayne manages to break the clinch.
Sloppy strikes from Kayne. Those never looked like landing.
Kayne avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Kayne uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kayne moves away.

and Kayne counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Kayne misses with a jab, cross combination.

Jones throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Jones has Kayne up against the cage in a clinch.
Jones lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Jones can't find room to land a body shot as Kayne controls the action.

Jones pushes Kayne back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Jones lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jones doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Jones dips a shoulder and cracks Kayne with a mighty uppercut! Kayne falls back against the cage and Jones unloads with a barrage of strikes! Kayne is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Jones screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Risky Jones! Risky Jones retains his super heavyweight title!
