Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Boon Baggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baggins comes to the cage accompanied by The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins (my hero). Frost has chosen RAWR as his entrance music. Andre Frost has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Boon Baggins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Andre Frost!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Baggins gets a double leg takedown into Frost's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Baggins won't allow Frost to sweep him here.

Baggins drops back looking for a leg! Frost is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Frost manages to kick Baggins off! Baggins jumps back into Frost's guard.
Frost wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Frost trying to keep a closed guard but Baggins is proving a slippery customer.
Frost keeping moving, preventing Baggins from controlling successfully.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Baggins displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Frost.
Frost tries to score a power double leg takedown but Baggins sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Frost somewhat.

Frost gets caught flat footed, as Baggins shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Baggins is pushing down on Frost's leg trying to pass to half guard. Frost is fighting to maintain full guard but Baggins has managed to sneak the leg through.

Frost makes his way to full guard, as Baggins worked for a kimura.
Frost looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Baggins drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Baggins jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Baggins stands and throws Frost's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Frost is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Baggins's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Baggins is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Baggins prevents Frost from improving his position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Baggins is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Frost defends it well.

Baggins is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Frost doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Baggins.

Frost is looking for a sweep. Baggins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Frost is trying to control but can't.
Baggins wants to pass to mount but Frost is defending the position.
Frost keeping hold of Baggins's head, controlling as best he can.

Baggins seems to be looking for submissions.

Baggins sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Frost has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Baggins is working away from the top position though.
Frost manages to get to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Baggins won't allow Frost to sweep him here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Frost bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Baggins's guard.

Baggins is looking to sinch up a triangle. Frost throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Baggins's body to avoid the submission. Baggins has instead reached around Frost's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Baggins arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Boon Baggins!
