PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sebastien Linne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Landa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Linne might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Arcturus - The Chaos Path. Landa is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ich tu dir weh - Rammstein. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Linne tries to clinch up.
Landa misses with a jab, cross combination.
Linne lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Landa misses with a leg kick
and Linne makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Landa tries to score with a low kick but Linne moves his leg out of the way.
Linne takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Linne tries to close the distance and clinch but Landa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Linne finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A telegraphed right hand from Linne misses the target.
Landa throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Landa looks for the body kick but Linne saw that one coming.
Landa misses with a low kick.
Linne throws a head kick but Landa moves out of range.
Linne takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Landa lands a nice looking body shot.
Landa fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Linne checks it well.

An inside leg kick lands from Linne.
Landa shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Linne as he avoids it easily.
Landa tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Linne was well out of range. Poor timing from Landa.

Linne throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Linne jabs Landa right on the nose. Landa blinks but takes it well.
Landa shoots in for a takedown but Linne shows good takedown defense.
Landa throws a body punch but Linne moves out of range.

Linne rushes Landa and presses him up against the cage.
Landa wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Linne lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Landa is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Linne is defending well for now.

Landa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Linne buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Linne throws a quick inside leg kick.
Landa looks gassed!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Landa misses with a body kick.
Linne misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Landa avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Linne misses with a low kick as Landa jumps back.
Landa keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Landa shoots in but Linne avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Sebastien Linne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hans Landa.
Landa gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Landa throws a right hand that Linne ducks under and follows up with a left that Linne also avoids with ease.
Landa checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Hans Landa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Landa misses with a series of wild punches.
Sebastien Linne is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Landa takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Landa's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Linne connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Landa scrambles back to his feet.

Landa loads up on a big right hand but Linne slips the punch.
Landa closes the distance and clinches up with Linne, looking for a takedown. Landa pushes Linne against the cage but Linne circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Linne wants to clinch.
Linne throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Landa takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Linne thows a body shot but no joy.
Linne turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Linne dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Landa. That did some damage!
Linne is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Linne takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Linne tries to work over Landa's front leg with a kick but Landa checks it.

Landa manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Linne on his heels. He'll look to pass Linne's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Linne has Landa pulled in close to control his posture.
Linne has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Landa throws a series of strikes that have Linne backpedaling.
Landa's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Linne lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Linne throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Landa crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
