Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Trevor Leszczynski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Mayzing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Mayzing fails with the takedown

Mayzing changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Leszczynski looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Leszczynski pushes Mayzing off looking to stand but Mayzing dives back in and keeps control.
Mayzing looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Mayzing misses with a takedown attempt
and Leszczynski counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Mayzing closes the distance and clinches up with Leszczynski, looking for a takedown. Mayzing pushes Leszczynski against the cage but Leszczynski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Mayzing shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mayzing showed some decent athleticism there.

Leszczynski is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mayzing pulls his head out easily.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Johnny Mayzing hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Still in half guard, Mayzing seems content to control.
Mayzing working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Leszczynski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Leszczynski steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Mayzing is out on his feet! Leszczynski sets himself and nearly takes Mayzing's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
