The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xibalba takes one to the side of the head.
Xibalba thuds his shin into the meat of Rich's side.
A decent looking cross lands there for Rich.
Rich punishes Xibalba's body with a nice straight punch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Xibalba avoids the body shot from Rich.
Xibalba scores with a head kick.
Xibalba drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Rich lands a nice shot to the body.
Xibalba steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rich.

Rich ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Xibalba tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rich jabs Xibalba to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Rich clobbers Xibalba with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Rich digs a good hook to Xibalba's body.
Benjamin Rich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Xibalba takes one on the button.

Xibalba is rocked!
Xibalba steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rich.
Oh Xibalba is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nice defenses there by Xibalba.
Xibalba shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rich pinned against the cage. Rich gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rich throws the left hand but Xibalba avoids the punch easily.
Rich throws an overhand right that lands on Xibalba's shoulder, as Xibalba tries to avoid the shot.
Rich misses with a straight right.
Xibalba seems to have got his legs back now.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rich. Xibalba does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rich uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rich misses the shot to the body.
Xibalba pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rich throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rich lands with a shot to the body.
Rich cracks Xibalba with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Xibalba tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Rich pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Xibalba is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
