Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Eli Savage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Jones Stark!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stark tries to clinch but Savage moves away

so Savage counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Stark has an active guard here but Savage has managed to pass into half guard.
Savage sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Stark defending well though.
Savage tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Savage throwing shots but Stark is blocking nicely.

Savage throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Savage takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Savage with the ground and pound but Stark uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Stark wants to sweep here but Savage controlling him for the moment.
Savage trying to control the position from guard on top but Stark is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Savage throwing strikes but missing.

Savage pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stark is keeping the position for now.

Stark utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Stark is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Stark throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Savage.
Savage dodges the punch combination from Stark.
Stark avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Stark shoots in for a takedown but Savage shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Stark changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Savage tries to avoid it but Stark manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Savage to the ground. Savage escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Savage lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Savage stuns Stark with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Stark shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Savage as he avoids it easily.
Eli Savage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Jones Stark.
Stark looks gassed!
Stark tries to move into range but Savage moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stark wants to clinch.
Stark tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Savage paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Savage scores with a decent looking hook.
Savage connects with a nice looking jab.


Stark is rocked!
Savage lands a jab to the nose.
Stark is still on wobbly legs! Can Savage finish him?

Stark shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Savage manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Savage pulls Stark in close to prevent any damage.
Savage is looking to stand up but Stark isn't so interested in that idea.
Stark seems to have recovered his senses.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stark wants to pass the guard but Savage is keeping the position.

Savage wants to stand and escape but Stark is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stark preventing the sweep.
Stark trying to control the position from guard on top but Savage is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Savage wants to get back to his feet but Stark is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Stark is looking to work some ground and pound but Savage has wrist control.
Stark wants to stand but Savage has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Stark drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Savage scores with a jab to the body.
Savage shoots in and drives through. Stark sprawls well.
Savage lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Stark avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's six minutes gone in the round.
Savage throws a good cross that connects.
Savage lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Stark fails with the takedown
and Savage counters with a three punch combo that has Stark backing up. Stark nods at Savage to acknowledge the strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Horrible takedown by Stark or perhaps it was just good defense by Savage which made him look bad.
Stark wants to clinch.
Stark on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Savage moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Savage scores with a crisp jab that stopped Stark in his tracks.
Stark circles away from the clinch attempt.
Savage is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Savage leaves Stark with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Stark gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Stark needs to keep his hands up - Savage had a free shot at his head there.
Stark walks into a jab.
Savage wants to clinch.
A left and a right from Savage both land. Nice combination.
Savage tries to clinch up but Stark circles away and keeps his distance.
Savage stuffs the takedown.
Savage with a jab.
Savage lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Stark backs up against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Savage steps in with a hook that catches Stark right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Savage follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Stark looks absolutely devastated.
