Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marshall Mathers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abel Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mathers comes to the cage accompanied by Anthem of Kings. Silva has chosen Iced Earth - Harbinger of Fate as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Abel Silva was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Russell Pearce and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Silva cracks the inside of Mathers's front leg.
Silva moves out of range of the leg kick from Mathers.
Mathers has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Silva.
Mathers throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mathers throws a jab but it's blocked by Silva.

Mathers scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Silva doesn't seem bothered though.

Silva fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mathers has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mathers lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Silva has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Silva and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Mathers lands with a straight right. Silva didn't see that one coming.
Mathers has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Silva.
Mathers throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Silva stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Mathers lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Silva throws a solid leg kick but Mathers takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Silva.

Abel Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A head kick misses from Mathers.
The fighters circle, before Mathers throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Silva's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Mathers lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
