Beleren's entrance music is Marilyn Manson - Resident Evil Theme. A fine choice. Griffin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bird is the word. The key to victory for Jace Beleren has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Peter Griffin!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, David Schapiro and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beleren throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nice takedown defense from Beleren. No joy for Griffin on that attempt.
Beleren throws a looping overhand right but Griffin ducks down to avoid it.
Beleren looks to land a combination. Griffin sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Beleren fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Griffin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Beleren stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Beleren wants it to stay on the feet.

Beleren shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Griffin is trying to defend but Beleren finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Beleren wants to lay and pray for a moment but Griffin keeps working.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Beleren lands a nice short elbow.

Griffin is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Beleren pulls his head out easily.
Beleren wants to take a breather but Griffin is having none of it.
Beleren passes to side control.
Beleren has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Griffin!

Beleren has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Beleren fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Griffin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

A punch lands to the side of Griffin 's head but he takes it in his stride.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Beleren throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Beleren throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Beleren lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jace Beleren dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Beleren lands a really nice looking cross but Griffin seems unphased.
Beleren misses with a wild combination.
Beleren fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Griffin manages to avoid it.
Griffin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Beleren moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Beleren misses the shot to the body.
Griffin defending well as Beleren loads up on a big left hand.
Beleren loads up on a big right hand but Griffin slips the punch.

Beleren closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Griffin to the mat! Griffin manages to get full guard.

Griffin isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Beleren stacks Griffin on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Beleren!

Griffin stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Beleren throws up his legs and catches Griffin in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Griffin tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Beleren! That came out of nowhere!
