The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Visvaldis misses with the combination.

Visvaldis lands with a nice body kick.
Visvaldis could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Visvaldis rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mashio moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Visvaldis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Visvaldis lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Mashio fails with a takedown attempt.
Visvaldis throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Visvaldis goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Visvaldis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Mashio shoots in but Visvaldis avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Visvaldis throws a half hearted mid kick.
No joy there for Visvaldis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Visvaldis scores with a head kick. Mashio tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Mashio shoots for a takedown but Visvaldis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Valdis Visvaldis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Mashio.
Mashio tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Visvaldis was well out of range. Poor timing from Mashio.
Visvaldis throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Mashio's head.

Mashio closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Visvaldis is breathing heavily.

Mashio is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Visvaldis looks calm but he's in trouble here. Mashio gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Visvaldis is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Mashio lets go of the hold and Visvaldis can pop his arm back in it's socket.
