Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joose Goebbels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Per Saukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Goebbels comes into the arena with Rammstein - Sonne blaring out of the sound system. Per Saukko is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saukko throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Goebbels pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Saukko shoots for a double leg takedown but Goebbels sprawls well. He's pushed Saukko's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

It looks like Joose Goebbels has been cut.

Goebbels tries a head kick but it misses.

Saukko shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Goebbels is trying to stand.

Goebbels has momentary wrist control but Saukko slips an elbow through the middle.

Goebbels manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Saukko throws a nice looking combination but Goebbels bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Saukko throws a low kick, looking for Goebbels's leg but Goebbels calmly moves out of range.
Goebbels throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Saukko shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Goebbels napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Saukko working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Goebbels wants to control but Saukko is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Saukko is trying to control the action in half guard but Goebbels is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Saukko is stalling here. Goebbels is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Saukko seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Goebbels has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Goebbels will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Saukko might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Goebbels kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Saukko is looking for a sweep.
Goebbels takes a little break here. Saukko wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Saukko wants to control but Goebbels postures up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Saukko closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Saukko wants to pass to mount but Goebbels is defending the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Saukko walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Goebbels is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Saukko is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Saukko has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Goebbels's face.

Saukko misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
