Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fintch is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gomi's half guard.
Gomi makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gomi.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fintch throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gomi works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Fintch trying to control but Gomi is working from the bottom.

Fintch really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gomi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gomi manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Gomi jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Fintch manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Fintch is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Gomi's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Fintch is trying to get back to full guard.
Gomi keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Fintch is concentrating on defense, preventing Gomi from advancing position.
Gomi is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fintch defends it well.
Gomi is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fintch doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gomi.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gomi in particular looking to stall.
Gomi looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Fintch is looking for a sweep. Gomi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Gomi wants to pass the guard but Fintch is defending well.
Fintch holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Gomi wants to free his trapped foot but Fintch is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Gomi is trying for a kimura here. Fintch looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Gomi wins by kimura!
