Slavey comes to the ring accompanied by I Predict A Riot. Rossi has chosen Talking Heads - Burning Down the House as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rossi shoots for a double leg takedown but Slavey sprawls well. He's pushed Rossi's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Rossi avoids a punch combination nicely.

Rossi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Slavey sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Pointon Slavey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Rossi.

Rossi is looking to take a break and control but Slavey is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rossi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Slavey is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Rossi swings around for an armbar but Slavey sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Rossi's guard.

Rossi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Slavey defends well.
Rossi controls Slavey momentarily but Slavey frees himself.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Rossi isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Slavey stacks Rossi on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Slavey!
Rossi tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Rossi is trying to control Slavey's posture but Slavey avoids it.
Rossi tries to bench press Slavey off him but Slavey keeps the position.
Rossi is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Slavey tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Slavey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rossi on the ground.

Rossi bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Slavey misses with a hook. Rossi ducked under it nicely.

Rossi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Slavey circles away.
Slavey connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Slavey misses with an uppercut.
Slavey throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pointon Slavey is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Rossi moves out of range as Slavey strikes.

Rossi shoots in looking for a takedown but Slavey manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rossi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Slavey fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Slavey slaps away a takedown attempt from Rossi, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Slavey tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Slavey keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Slavey displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rossi.
Rossi closes the distance and clinches up with Slavey, looking for a takedown. Rossi pushes Slavey against the ropes but Slavey circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rossi on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Slavey lands a left and a right that send Rossi crashing to the mat, dazed. Slavey thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Rossi is rocked!
Slavey lands with a right and another and another! Rossi is in big trouble! Slavey lands again and this time it's lights out for Rossi! A quality knockout there for Slavey.
