The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gamble takes a swing at Melendez's ribcage but misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Melendez.
Melendez thows a left - swing and a miss!
Gamble misses with a few strikes there.
Melendez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Nice takedown defense from Gamble. No joy for Melendez on that attempt.
Prophet Gamble has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Orlando Melendez.

Melendez shoots for a takedown but Gamble saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Gamble cracks Melendez with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Melendez wants to clinch
and Gamble counters with a good, hard body kick but Melendez shrugs it off.
Prophet Gamble is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gamble lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Orlando Melendez has been cut.
Gamble misses with a series of wild punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gamble ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Gamble throws a quick inside leg kick.
Gamble takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Gamble fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Melendez has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Gamble fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Melendez to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Melendez looks to clinch but Gamble throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Melendez taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
