Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mitchell Joseph!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Von Lydeman!
The judges for this bout are , and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Joseph, as that shot connected.


That has opened up Jack Von Lydeman's cut even more.
Von Lydeman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Joseph manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Jack Von Lydeman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Joseph throws a hook to the side of Von Lydeman's head but Von Lydeman sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Von Lydeman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Joseph tries to avoid it but Von Lydeman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Joseph to the ground. Joseph escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Von Lydeman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Joseph avoids it really well and circles away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Joseph takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Von Lydeman dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mitchell Joseph.
I think Von Lydeman has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
