Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erik Out (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitry Alenichev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dmitry Alenichev will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dmitry Alenichev!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alenichev lands a two punch combo.
Alenichev tries to clinch up but Out circles away and keeps his distance.

Alenichev closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Knees in the clinch landing for Alenichev.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Out as Alenichev tries to tie him up.
Out is trying to maintain a safe position but Alenichev gets an underhook and turns Out into the cage.
Out avoiding damage.
Out tries to pull guard but Alenichev won't allow it.
Alenichev stops a takedown attempt from Out.

Alenichev utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Out tries to stall but Alenichev uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Alenichev misses with a knee strike.
Alenichev misses with an elbow strike.
Alenichev prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erik Out. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Out tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Out breaks from the clinch.
Alenichev tries to close the distance and clinch up but Out swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Out with a poor takedown
and Alenichev counters with a big head kick but Out shrugs it off.
Alenichev pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Alenichev just misses with a punch to the body.
Alenichev's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Alenichev duly obliges.
Out is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Alenichev connects with a body shot.

The fight stays on the outside here - Alenichev looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Out on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Alenichev fails with an attempt to clinch.

Alenichev is looking to clinch but Out is avoiding it.

and Out counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Alenichev looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Out passes into side control.

Alenichev strikes from the bottom but Out takes advantage and advances to full mount!
Alenichev tries to improve his position but instead Out has taken his back!

Out has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and Out counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Out.

Out thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Out prevents Alenichev from getting back to his feet.

Out drops back looking for a leg! Alenichev is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Alenichev manages to kick Out off! Out jumps back into Alenichev's guard.

Out postures up.
Out tries to free his leg and advance position but Alenichev is retaining full guard.

Out drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Out jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Alenichev is striking off his back. Out thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.

Alenichev is trying to stand.
Erik Out overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Alenichev has one foot on Out's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Alenichev is breathing heavily.
Alenichev throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dmitry Alenichev seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Out swats away the attempt to clinch by Alenichev.
Alenichev moves into range and connects with a jab.
Alenichev throws a lazy uppercut

and Out counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Alenichev has an active guard here but Out has managed to pass into half guard.

Out seems to be working for a kimura but Alenichev defends the submission attempt.
Alenichev scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Out manages to mount him!

Out wants to finish this one by submission but Alenichev is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Out.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Out quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Out but it's paid off an Alenichev is forced to tap! Nice work by Out.
