Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phil Maycock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ippo Makanouchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maycock comes to the cage accompanied by GG Allin - Hard Candy Cock. Makanouchi has chosen Inner Light by Schocking Lemon as his entrance music. Ippo Makanouchi told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makanouchi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Maycock uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Makanouchi.
No luck for Maycock with that takedown attempt.
Nice sprawl there from Makanouchi as Maycock shoots in.

Maycock darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Maycock seems to be working for a kimura but Makanouchi defends the submission attempt.
Maycock tries to pass the half guard into mount. Makanouchi knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
