Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Ames (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown has chosen Avassalador ft. Globus - Sou Foda as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nathan Ames!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Brown!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Roberts and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ames fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Brown looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

A decent looking cross lands there for Brown.
Brown tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ames sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brown somewhat.
Ames lands a nice hook to Brown's body. Brown takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Brown looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Ames is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Brown dives in and grabs Ames's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ames pushes down on Brown's head and hops out.

Brown is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Ames reverses the position - he's now on top in Brown's guard.
Ames slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Brown is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Ames seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Nathan Ames just wasn't active enough.
Ames lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ames, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
