The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romppainen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Luthor's waist but Luthor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Romppainen off to one side.
Romppainen fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Romppainen has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Luthor.
Luthor throws a head kick but Romppainen moves out of range.
Luthor misses with a head kick.
Romppainen fails with the takedown
and Luthor counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Lex Luthor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jaska Romppainen.
Luthor delivers a nice body kick.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Luthor connects with a solid leg kick.
Romppainen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Luthor as he avoids it easily.

Luthor lands a big head kick that sends Romppainen tumbling to the mat! Luthor takes a step backwards and waves Romppainen back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Jaska Romppainen has been cut.

Luthor throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Romppainen crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
