The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burlaka misses with a two punch combination.

Player postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Burlaka is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Player is controlling him.
Burlaka knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Player on the ground.

Player misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Player is nestled in close to Burlaka, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Player seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Burlaka does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Player changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Player shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Burlaka's guard.
Player lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Player wants to control from the top but Burlaka keeps moving.
Player distracts Burlaka with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Player in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Burlaka can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Player controls the pace.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Let's hope that Player has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
