PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Attila The Hun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Street (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Street's choice of entrance music: K.O. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jackson Street!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Hun takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

The Hun clinches.
Street blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Street is trying to break free.
Street tries to break the clinch but The Hun is controlling the position.
Street wants to get back to striking at distance but The Hun won't allow it.
Street is looking to break free of the clinch but The Hun has double underhooks.

The Hun has Street pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. The Hun pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Street tumbling to the mat - The Hun dives into Street's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The Hun is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The Hun chips away with some ground and pound.
The Hun not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The Hun drops back, looking for a kneebar! Street looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Street looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Street!
The Hun manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

The Hun is looking for a kimura here.

The Hun seems to be looking for submissions.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The Hun content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The Hun passes the guard and advances to mount!

The Hun with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

The Hun jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Street manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The Hun works to advance to full mount. Street defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Street really doesn't want to stay on the ground with The Hun. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Street is in a horrible position here. The Hun smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! The Hun's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



The Hun closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by The Hun.

The Hun turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The Hun is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Street has escaped the position, nice work there.

The Hun is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Street is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The Hun seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Street for as long as he can get away with.

The Hun has hold of Street's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Street seems comfortable defending it but The Hun has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Street is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Street is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but The Hun couldn't care less - he's delighted!
