The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shishkin moves to clinch but Hartman breaks away
and Hartman counters with a lovely straight right hand!

It looks like Alexey Shishkin has been cut.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hartman.
Hartman prevents the takedown attempt.

Shishkin manages to pull guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Hartman wants to control from the top but Shishkin keeps moving.
Shishkin has his hands on Hartman's head, controlling the position.
Shishkin wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shishkin is trying to keep Hartman in close.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Teddy Hartman was stalling too much, according to the referee.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hartman enables Shishkin to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hartman manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Shishkin has gone for a leg lock! Hartman slips out almost immediately though and dives into Shishkin's guard.
Hartman is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Hartman decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Shishkin, up you get!

Hartman throws a right and a left that both miss.

and Hartman counters with a crisp one two that drops Shishkin! Hartman thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Shishkin to his feet! Shishkin is in big trouble!

Shishkin shoots in and drives through. Hartman sprawls well.

Shishkin shoots in looking for a takedown. Hartman tries to sprawl out of it but Shishkin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hartman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hartman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shishkin circles away quickly and effectively.
Shishkin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hartman swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Shishkin closes the distance and pushes Hartman back into the cage.

Shishkin changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hartman fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sloppy strikes from Hartman. Those never looked like landing.
Hartman cracks Shishkin's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Shishkin slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Hartman can do further damage! This one is done, son!
