The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lataville dives in and grabs Cook's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cook pushes down on Lataville's head and hops out.
Lataville throws a leg kick but Cook moved away.
Lataville shoots in for a double leg but Cook sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Cook shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lataville pinned against the cage. Lataville gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Lataville lands a nice shot to the body.
Cook tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lataville sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cook somewhat.

Lataville throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lataville looks for a takedown but Cook sprawls well.

Cook pushes down on Lataville's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Cook is thwarting Lataville's attempts to control the position.
Cook is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Lataville!

I really don't envy Lataville right now.
Cook is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
