The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rich has managed to clinch.

Rich is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Rich throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Bino slips nicely into half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bino throws a series of punches but Rich avoids them all with ease.

Rich has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bino is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Rich wants to control from the top but Bino keeps moving.
Rich slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Rich gets to his feet. Bino looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Rich forces Bino back against the cage and clinches.

Rich has hold of one of Bino's legs. Bino is fighting the takedown attempt but Rich gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Bino is looking for a triangle but Rich pushes his legs off easily.

Bino has his foot on Rich's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rich works his way back into a safe position though.
Rich would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Bino has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Rich is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Bino.

Rich has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Rich shoots in and bounces Bino off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Rich stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bino swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bino looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Rich passes into side control.
Rich wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bino keeps working.
Rich is chipping away with strikes.

Rich decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Rich scores a takedown into full mount!
Rich pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Rich tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Rich gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Bino working for a triangle but Rich defends it easily.
Rich might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bino is on top in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rich shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bino but Bino pushes him off and we're back to square one.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rich wants to control the pace but Bino is squirming around nicely.
Rich is really struggling to control Bino but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Rich looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Rich tries to clinch up but Bino circles away and keeps his distance.
Rich slips a jab and a cross from Bino.

Bino escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rich gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bino wants to finish this one by submission but Rich is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Bino.
Rich has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Rich breaks Bino's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Rich controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Bino looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Rich sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Bino is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
