The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Brown shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nair's guard.
Brown postures up in Nair's guard and throws a big left but Nair blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brown is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Nair is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Nair has escaped and now he's on top!
Brown is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Brown has control of Nair's left arm, preventing Nair from doing any damage.
Brown controls Nair momentarily but Nair frees himself.
Nair won't allow Brown to sweep him here.
Brown is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
