The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunn shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Paige sprawls well. Paige wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gunn gets slowly back to his feet.

Paige tries to bum rush Gunn with a series of wild strikes but Gunn uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Gunn bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Paige connects with a nice short shot to Gunn's temple.
