Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Royal throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Shiro Royal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Henderson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

It looks like Phil Henderson has been cut.

Henderson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Royal manages to work his way to half guard, despite Henderson's best efforts.

Henderson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Royal pushes Henderson off and gets back to his feet.
Royal tries to bum rush Henderson with a series of wild strikes but Henderson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Royal loads up on a big right hand but Henderson slips the punch.
Royal connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Henderson momentarily.
Henderson dives in and grabs Royal's left leg, looking for a takedown. Royal pushes down on Henderson's head and hops out.
Henderson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Royal as he jumps to the side.
Henderson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Shiro Royal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Henderson.

Royal throws a low kick, looking for Henderson's leg but Henderson calmly moves out of range.

Henderson misses with a takedown attempt - Royal sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Henderson shoots in looking for a takedown but Royal manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Henderson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Royal throws a good cross that connects.
Royal lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Royal lands a big right hook! Henderson looks hurt but is still standing! Royal lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Henderson falls down and Royal dives in with a huge hammer fist! Henderson's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Royal runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
