The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bait misses with the combination.
Bait stuffs the takedown attempt from Carbone. Carbone gets slowly back to his feet.
Carbone shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Carbone was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Carbone is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Bait throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Carbone.

Carbone shoots in and bounces Bait off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Carbone is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Carbone is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Carbone is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bait is trying to stand up here but Carbone is controlling him well.
Bait is staying active underneath Carbone, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Bait misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Carbone frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Carbone looks gassed!
Carbone is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Bait has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Bait!
Carbone is looking to stand up but Bait isn't so interested in that idea.
Bait knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Carbone on the ground.

Carbone has a closed guard, preventing Bait from standing up.
Carbone throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Bait escapes and throws Carbone's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Bait decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Carbone throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bait's waist but Bait gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carbone off to one side.
Carbone scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Carbone stalling away here and it's allowed Bait to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Carbone advances to half guard.
Carbone is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bait is just riding it out for now. Carbone eventually gives up the hold.

Carbone is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Carbone looking to isolate an arm here. Bait doesn't see it coming and as Carbone extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Carbone!
