Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Clay Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohamed Alaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clay Castro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mohamed Alaa!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castro fails with a takedown attempt.
Castro misses with a head kick.
Alaa fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Castro tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Alaa moves into the clinch.
Alaa is working for takedown but Castro is calmly controlling the position for now.

Castro breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Alaa fails with a takedown attempt.
Clay Castro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mohamed Alaa.
Castro closes this distance looking for a takedown but Alaa circles away.
Castro throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Alaa fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Castro looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Castro shoots in looking for a takedown. Alaa tries to sprawl out of it but Castro keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Alaa manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Castro tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Alaa manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Castro lands a head kick. Alaa smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Alaa shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Castro as he avoids it easily.
Alaa shoots for a takedown but Castro saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Castro closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Alaa to the mat! Alaa manages to get full guard.

Alaa has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Castro is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Alaa.
Alaa looks gassed!

Castro wants to control but Alaa is keeping him busy.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Castro tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Alaa is trying to get back to half guard.
Castro throws an elbow but Alaa slips to the side and avoids it well.
Castro trying to control the position but Alaa is working away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Castro has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Castro wants to clinch

and Alaa counters by moving into the clinch.
Castro is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Alaa gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Castro is looking to break free of the clinch but Alaa has double underhooks.
Alaa can't get the takedown.
Alaa jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Castro walks away with a smile on his face. Alaa gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Castro tries to clinch but Alaa is having none of it.

Castro clinches with his opponent.
Alaa has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Alaa goes for a takedown in the clinch but Castro prevents it.
Alaa lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Castro.
Alaa tries to break the clinch but Castro is controlling the position.
Castro has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Alaa is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Castro jumps guard and drags Alaa to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Alaa wants to pass the guard but Castro is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Castro controls Alaa momentarily but Alaa frees himself.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Castro is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Castro looks to land a combination. Alaa sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Alaa tries to clinch up but Castro circles away and keeps his distance.
Alaa misses with a takedown attempt - Castro sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Alaa tries to score a power double leg takedown but Castro sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Alaa somewhat.
Alaa closes this distance looking for a takedown but Castro circles away.
Clay Castro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mohamed Alaa.
Alaa is breathing heavily.
Castro is trying hard to land a takedown here. Alaa sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Alaa tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jab, jab by Castro - just one landing.
Castro shoots in looking for a takedown but Alaa manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Castro's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Castro misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Alaa.

Castro shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Alaa pushes Castro off and gets back to his feet.

and Alaa counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Castro throws a right hand that Alaa ducks under and follows up with a left that Alaa also avoids with ease.

Alaa tries for a takedown but Castro sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Castro changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Alaa looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Castro happy to just control the position for now.
Alaa is trying to strike from the bottom but Castro has passed into full mount.

Castro wants to finish this one by submission but Alaa is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Castro.
Alaa is trying to stand.

Alaa is trying desperately to improve position.
Alaa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Castro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Castro trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Alaa tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Castro looking to control but Alaa is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Castro cracks Alaa with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Castro sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Alaa is squirming around, avoiding Castro's attempts to control the action.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Castro takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Clay Castro dominated that second round.
That's time! Castro's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

and Castro counters with a left and a right that stings Alaa.

Castro darts in and clinches Alaa up against the cage.
Alaa is struggling to control the position.

Castro breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Castro closes the distance and clinches up with Alaa, looking for a takedown. Castro pushes Alaa against the cage but Alaa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Alaa is trying to force a seperation but Castro has the dominant position.

Alaa changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Castro fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Alaa closes the distance and clinches.
Alaa takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Castro drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Alaa gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Castro breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Castro feints and then cracks Alaa's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Alaa down.
Castro tries for a takedown but Alaa sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clay Castro. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Clay Castro overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Alaa is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Castro remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Castro's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Castro gets tackled into the cage by Alaa. Alaa maintains the clinch.
Castro tries to pull guard but Alaa won't allow it.
Castro is trying to push Alaa away but Alaa has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Alaa jumps into guard, dragging Castro to the mat.

Castro stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Alaa shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Castro sprawls well. Castro wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Alaa gets slowly back to his feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Castro.
Alaa shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Castro as he jumps to the side.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Castro, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
