Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wanderlei Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Utah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Utah is fending him off so far but Silva persists. Nope, Utah circles away and we're back to standing.
Utah fails to land with a series of punches.
Silva shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Utah counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Silva wants to clinch.
Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Utah circles away.
Silva takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Utah misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Silva.
Silva closes the distance but Utah moves to the side
and Utah cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Utah just misses with a punch to the body.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wanderlei Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Utah stuffs the takedown attempt from Silva. Silva gets slowly back to his feet.

Silva uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Utah.

Utah clinches.
Silva tries to throw a body punch but Utah avoids it by throwing Silva back against the cage.

Utah wants the takedown. Silva is fighting it off but Utah persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Silva's guard against the cage.
Utah must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Silva has his foot on Utah's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Utah works his way back into a safe position though.

Utah is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Silva is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Silva is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Utah decides to stand back up.
Utah looks to land a combination but Silva avoids it well.
Silva takes one to the side of the head.

Utah pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Utah darts in and clinches Silva up against the cage.

Utah connects with a right hand. Silva shakes it off.
Silva takes a jab right on the kisser.

Utah slaps away a takedown attempt from Silva, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Utah lands a nice shot that snaps Silva's head back.
Silva seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Utah shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Silva is backing up but Utah catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Silva covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Utah Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
