Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barec Volevoi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tiago Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Volevoi's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Nam ne strashen volk. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Silva throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Volevoi tries to keep at a distance but Silva has taken the fight into the clinch.
Volevoi is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Silva gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Silva is trying to drag Volevoi to the mat but Volevoi just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Silva wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Volevoi has picked Silva up - he's going for a ride! Volevoi dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Silva is trying to maintain the position but Volevoi is very close to passing his half guard.
Silva wants to get back to full guard but Volevoi has passed into side control.
Silva takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Volevoi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Volevoi has managed to get both his arms back between Silva's legs - danger averted.
Volevoi is looking to work some ground and pound but Silva has wrist control.

Volevoi steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Silva. That one must have hurt.
Tiago Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Volevoi feints and as Silva raises his hands in defense, Volevoi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Volevoi connects with a couple of short punches.
Volevoi won't allow Silva to sweep him here.

Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Volevoi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
