The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Onopko moves in looking to clinch but Rose pushes him off.

Onopko shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Rose is trying to control but can't.
Rose holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Onopko missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Rose is not content to let Onopko control the position.
Rose trying to hold on to Onopko's head to control him but Onopko postures up.

George Rose has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Onopko fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Rose slaps away a takedown attempt from Onopko, before circling back to the center of the mat.
George Rose seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Onopko moves into the clinch successfully.
Rose is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Onopko keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rose's efforts to push away.
Onopko has Rose pressed against the cage, preventing Rose from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Onopko breaks the clinch.
Rose throws a hook to the side of Onopko's head but Onopko sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Onopko shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rose sprawls well. Rose wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Onopko gets slowly back to his feet.
Rose throws out a powerful jab.
Rose digs a good hook to Onopko's body.
No joy there for Rose, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Onopko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rose.
Rose throws a right and a left that both miss.
Onopko goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Rose paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

It looks like Semen Onopko has been cut.
Rose throws a right and a left that Onopko avoids nicely.
Rose rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Onopko moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

An inside leg kick from Rose misses.

Rose lands a big right hand that sends Onopko crashing to the mat! Rose stays standing though and waves Onopko back to his feet!

Onopko is rocked!
Onopko tries for a takedown but Rose sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Onopko is still on wobbly legs! Can Rose finish him?

Onopko blocks a leg kick.
Rose sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Onopko's defenses. It connects perfectly with Onopko's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
