Halperin comes into the arena with Monster blaring out of the sound system. Daniel Halperin is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture is trying hard to land a takedown here. Halperin sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Halperin drives through and clinches with Couture against the cage.
Couture is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Halperin gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Halperin makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Couture drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Daniel Halperin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Couture.
Halperin stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Couture takes a shot to the head.

Halperin manages to pull guard.

Halperin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Couture gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Halperin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Couture doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Halperin is tightening it up a little... Couture has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Couture reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Couture taps out! Nice BJJ there by Halperin!
