Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Burton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Redman - Da goodness as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burton ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Smith moves away.
A head kick misses from Burton.
Burton tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Smith is able to avoid easily.
Smith throws a chopping leg kick but Burton manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Smith doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Smith avoids a punch combination nicely.
Burton is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Smith.
Burton takes one to the chin there.
Burton misses with a jab, cross combination.

A looping hook to the body misses from Burton. Smith does a little dance to reset his feet.
Smith moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Jack Burton has been cut.
Smith feints and then cracks Burton's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Burton down.
Burton fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Smith checks it well.

Burton throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Burton throws a series of punches but Smith moves out of range.
Burton lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Burton throws a low kick, looking for Smith's leg but Smith calmly moves out of range.
Burton tries to move into range but Smith moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Burton connects with a right hand. Smith shakes it off.
Burton lands a jab to the nose.

Smith moves away from the strike by Burton.

Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Smith lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
A head kick from Burton lands but Smith takes it in his stride.
Smith throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Burton.

Smith fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Burton looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Smith misses the jab.
Burton throws a right and a left that both miss.
Burton throws a looping overhand right but Smith ducks down to avoid it.
Smith cracks Burton with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Burton misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Smith blocks a jab.
Smith throws a hook to the side of Burton's head but Burton sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Smith slips under a jab from Burton.
Smith tries a low kick but Burton avoids it.
Burton tries a head kick but it misses.
Smith tests Burton's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Burton attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Burton wants to clinch.
Burton lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Smith circles away quickly and effectively.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Smith throws a right and a left that Burton avoids nicely.

Smith bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Burton's head backwards.
Burton misses the shot to the body.
Frank Smith is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Smith comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Smith throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Burton on the side of the head.
Smith shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Burton swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Burton scores with a three punch combo!

It looks like Frank Smith has been cut.
Burton swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Smith counters with a nice low kick that buckles Burton's knee momentarily.

Smith closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Burton to the mat! Burton manages to get full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Smith wants to pass the guard but Burton is keeping the position.

Smith is fighting to break Burton's control of his arms but Burton is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jack Burton just wasn't active enough.
Burton bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Smith's head backwards.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Burton takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Smith has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Burton takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

and Smith counters with a body kick that stops Burton in his tracks momentarily.

Burton takes a swing at Smith's ribcage but misses.
Smith avoids the head kick by Burton.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Smith lands with a thumping leg kick.
Smith shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Burton defends it nicely.

Burton looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
The fighters circle momentarily. Burton darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Smith takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Smith looks up at the clock. Bad move! Burton lands a right hand from hell, dropping Smith. Burton pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Jack Burton really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Sublime Supplements logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
