Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hiroko Matsumato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luciano Contini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matsumato kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is My Pre Fight Warmup. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Contini stuffs the takedown attempt from Matsumato. Matsumato gets slowly back to his feet.
Luciano Contini seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab from Contini misses.
Matsumato tries for a takedown but Contini sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A slow jab from Contini misses its intended target.
A solid leg kick lands there for Contini.
Contini thows a body shot but no joy.
Contini lands with a kick to the temple. Matsumato shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Contini throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Matsumato fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hiroko Matsumato. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Contini throws a leg kick but Matsumato moved away.
Matsumato tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Contini swivels and escapes.
Contini fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Matsumato has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Matsumato avoids the head kick by Contini.
A big left from Contini misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Matsumato.
Good leg kick by Contini there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Matsumato changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Contini tries to avoid it but Matsumato manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Contini to the ground. Contini escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Contini scores with a nice head shot.
Matsumato shoots in for a double leg but Contini sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Matsumato is breathing heavily.
Contini stuffs the takedown.
Contini throws the kick towards the body but Matsumato avoids it.
Matsumato shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Contini defends it nicely.

Contini smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
A jab lands there for Contini.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Matsumato shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Contini as he avoids it easily.
Luciano Contini is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Matsumato steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Contini. That one must have hurt.
Matsumato shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Contini counters with a good low kick that Matsumato was not able to check.
Contini connects with an inside leg kick.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Matsumato. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Contini throws a leg kick which misses Matsumato's front leg but catches the back leg as Matsumato tries to avoid it.
Matsumato takes one on the button.

Contini connects with a single shot there.

Matsumato is rocked!
Contini scores with a decent looking hook.
Oh Matsumato is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Contini ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Matsumato's jaw. Matsumato's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Contini does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Luciano Contini!
Luciano Contini decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
