Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between The Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Connor Ryan will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machine misses the jab.
Ryan takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Ryan slips a jab from Machine.
Machine throws a low kick, looking for Ryan's leg but Ryan calmly moves out of range.

Machine thows a body shot but no joy.

Ryan darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Ryan seems to be working for a kimura but Machine defends the submission attempt.
Ryan wants to pass the guard but Machine is defending well.
Machine manages to get to full guard.
Machine wants to stand up but Ryan is controlling him.

Ryan can't keep his opponent in guard - Machine advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Ryan flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Machine wants to control but Ryan is keeping him busy.
Ryan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Machine's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Machine's back!

Ryan has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Machine has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Machine manages to reverse the position and now he's in Ryan's guard. Nice work there by Machine.

Machine stays in close to Ryan's body and controls the position.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ryan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Machine manages to get himself to full guard.
Machine controls Ryan momentarily but Ryan frees himself.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Machine has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ryan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Machine is looking to stand up but Ryan isn't so interested in that idea.

Machine might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Ryan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

We're going to have a standup here because The Machine wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

A nice combination there by Ryan.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Machine enables Ryan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Machine manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Ryan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Ryan is working to tighten is grip on Machine's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Machine has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Ryan is really squeezing tight and eventually Machine passes out! Ryan breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
