and Kobayashi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Thompkins looks to land a body kick but Kobayashi moved away.

Thompkins fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kobayashi sprawls well initially but Thompkins persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Kobayashi manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Kobayashi is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Thompkins rolls with it to try and escape but Kobayashi cranks on the arm and Thompkins is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
