The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ericsson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Macmillan slips under a jab.
Ericsson lands a slapping body shot.
Ericsson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Macmillan looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Ericsson listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Ericsson sizes up Macmillan with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Ericsson lands a jab to the nose.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Macmillan.
Ericsson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Macmillan throws a right hand that Ericsson ducks under and follows up with a left that Ericsson also avoids with ease.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Macmillan blocks a jab.
Macmillan misses with a kick to the body.
Macmillan has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Macmillan there as he acknowledges the shot.
Macmillan with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ericsson to score with a decent uppercut.
Macmillan on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Macmillan loads up on a big right hand but Ericsson slips the punch.
Ericsson swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Macmillan.
Ericsson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Ericsson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Macmillan had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

and Macmillan counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Ericsson is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Ericsson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Macmillan walks into a left hand.
Sonny Ericsson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Macmillan attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Macmillan wants to slow Ericsson down by chopping away at his legs.
Macmillan takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Macmillan walks into a straight right hand from Ericsson.

Macmillan tries a head kick but it misses.
Oh Macmillan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ericsson's jab looks to have found its range, popping Macmillan under the eye.
Ericsson circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Macmillan to the canvas! Macmillan doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Ericsson keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
