The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sotto throws a head kick that misses.
Sotto goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Sotto cracks the inside of Cuirass's front leg.
Sotto throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Sotto scores with a leg kick.
Cuirass looks gassed!
Sotto throws a head kick but Cuirass moves out of range.
Sotto scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sotto misses with a double jab.
Sotto tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cuirass was well out of range. Poor timing from Sotto.
Cuirass moves out of range as Sotto throws a body kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Cuirass misses the target.
Sotto cracks Cuirass with an open hand slap.

It looks like Marcus Cuirass has been cut.
Cuirass moves out of range of the body kick from Sotto.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sotto connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Cuirass momentarily.
Sotto throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Sotto rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cuirass moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tito Sotto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sotto scores with a nice right hand.

Sotto feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Cuirasss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Cuirass is rocked!
Sotto is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Cuirass flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Cuirass is out cold! Sotto holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
