Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jan Iii Sobieski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stanislaw Kowalski!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Left hook, right uppercut from Kowalski.


It looks like Jan Iii Sobieski has been cut.
Crunch! Kowalski slams his shin into Sobieski's torso.
Kowalski swinging wildly here.
Kowalski works over Sobieski's head and body with a nice combination.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sobieski closes the distance and clinches up with Kowalski, looking for a takedown. Sobieski pushes Kowalski against the cage but Kowalski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Kowalski throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Sobieski blocks it with crossed arms.

Sobieski has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kowalski is trying to keep an underhook but Sobieski manages to get the takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kowalski is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sobieski defends well.

Sobieski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kowalski tries to avoid it but Sobieski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kowalski to the ground. Kowalski escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kowalski looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Sobieski changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kowalski looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jan Iii Sobieski.
I think Sobieski has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
