Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Selenius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Frey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mick Frey is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Selenius fails with a takedown attempt.

Frey scores a takedown into full mount!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Frey controlling from the full mount.
Selenius is working to get back to half guard.
Frey controlling the pace for now.

Frey looking to control and managing it successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Selenius is desperately trying to improve his position but Frey has a good base and remains in mount.
Frey tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Frey won't let Selenius get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Frey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Selenius. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Selenius wants to control but Frey is having none of it.

Selenius manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Frey passes the guard and advances to mount!

Frey stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

and Frey counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Selenius's guard now.
Frey passes Selenius's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Selenius wants to get back to full guard.
Frey wants to free his trapped foot but Selenius is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Selenius misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Frey moves nicely into side control.

Frey stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Selenius.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Selenius tries to clinch up but Frey circles away and keeps his distance.
Selenius throws a sloppy head kick
and Frey counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Crunch! Frey slams his shin into Selenius's torso.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mick Frey dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Selenius shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Frey counters with a body kick that stops Selenius in his tracks momentarily.
Selenius takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

It looks like Peter Selenius has been cut.
Frey and Selenius are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Frey throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Selenius into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Frey knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
