Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kim Jung Il (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dak Ishii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jung Il comes to the cage accompanied by Kung Fu Fighting. Ishii has chosen Insane in the membrane by Cypress Hill as his entrance music. Dak Ishii has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Kim Jung Il's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Ishii - that will leave a mark!

Jung Il looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Ishii!
Ishii is wriggling around trying to escape.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
The referee warns Ishii that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Ishii tries to reverse the position but Jung Il maintains control.
Ishii bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Ishii is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Jung Il kicks Ishii off and gets to his feet.

Jung Il closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ishii circles away.
Ishii fails with the takedown.

Jung Il shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jung Il was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Ishii is desperately trying to improve his position but Jung Il has a good base and remains in mount.
Ishii slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Ishii is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Jung Il pulls his head out easily.
It looks like Jung Il is going to stand back up.

Jung Il wants to stand but Ishii has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Ishii wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Ishii counters with a shoot takedown. Jung Il fights it but they end up in guard.

Ishii avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ishii scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Ishii loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Jung Il manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ishii manages to get himself to full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ishii had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jung Il is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Ishii Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jung Il's back instead.

Oooh a big shot gets through from Ishii. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
