X kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is I Gotta Feeling. Davis has chosen Bottoms Up by Trey Songz f. Nicki Minaj as his entrance music. Snap Davis has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
X tries to clinch up.
X misses with a double jab

and Davis counters with a single leg into guard. X didn't expect that.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Davis trying to control but X is working from the bottom.
Davis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Davis wants to control from the top but X keeps moving.

X is looking for a triangle but Davis pushes his legs off easily.

Davisis looking to pass into half guard but X pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now X is in guard.
Davis keeping moving, preventing X from controlling successfully.
X postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Davis thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
X makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Davis is on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davis trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Davis looking to sit in guard and control but X gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

X got a little sloppy there for a moment and Davis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, X has managed to get both his arms back between Davis's legs - danger averted.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

X wants to work for an arm triangle but Davis is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
X wants to lay and pray for a moment but Davis keeps working.
Davis misses with some strikes from the bottom.
X passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Davis!
