Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rolf Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Aata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rolf Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robert Aata!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aata throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Aata fails to land with a series of punches.
Harris avoids the head kick by Aata.

Aata fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Harris, pushing him back against the cage.

Aata breaks the clinch.

Harris shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Harris tries to pass the half guard into mount. Aata knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Harris decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Aata looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Harris!
Harris is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Aata really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harris. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Harris on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Harris tries to get out of the position.
Aata avoids the attempt from Harris to control.
Harris is trying desperately to improve position.

Aata gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Aata moves into the clinch successfully.

Aata breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Harris has Aata up against the cage in a clinch.
Aata is looking to control Harris's arms but Harris gets an underhook and turns him. Now Aata has his back to the cage.

It looks like Rolf Harris has been cut.

Aata throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Harris looks for a takedown but Aata sprawls well.
Harris is breathing heavily.
Harris fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Aata throws a head kick but Harris moves out of range.
Aata lands a nice looking kick to the body. Harris takes a step back to recover.
Sloppy strikes from Aata. Those never looked like landing.

Aata darts in and clinches Harris up against the cage.
Aata lands an elbow just above Harris 's eye.

Aata breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Robert Aata seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aata scores with a head kick. Harris tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Aata forces Harris back against the cage and clinches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Aata gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Harris.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rolf Harris. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Aata escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Aata clinches up with Harris and pushes him back against the cage.
Aata scores with a knee to the head.
Harris is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Aata gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Aata breaks from the clinch.

Aata drives through and clinches with Harris against the cage.
Aata scores a nice knee to the body.

Aata breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Aata lands with a kick to the temple. Harris shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Aata has managed to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Robert Aata dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Rolf Harris's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Aata connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Harris to the floor! Aata dives in looking for the finish!
Oh Harris is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Harris wants to get back to full guard.
Harris has his hands clasped together around Aata's back. He's all about the action.

Aata wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Harris uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Harris seems to have got his legs back now.
Harris looking for a sweep. Not yet Harris, not yet.
Aata wants to stand and escape but instead Harris has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Harris stands and throws Aata's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Harris misses with the ground and pound.
Harris taking a break here but Aata is having none of it and regains half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aata wants to get back to his feet.
Aata is staying active underneath Harris, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Harris looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Aata with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Harris wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Aata uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Harris wants to control from the top but Aata keeps moving.
Harris throws a big right hand that misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Harris trying to control the position from guard on top but Aata is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Harris trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Aata keeping moving, preventing Harris from controlling successfully.

Rolf Harris has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Harris misses with a takedown attempt - Aata sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Harris closes the distance and clinches up with Aata, looking for a takedown. Harris pushes Aata against the cage but Aata circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Harris takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Harris gets tackled into the cage by Aata. Aata maintains the clinch.
Aata tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Aata crunches a lovely knee into Harris's ribcage.
Robert Aata seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Aata putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Harris in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Aata breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Aata darts in and clinches Harris up against the cage.
Aata landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Aata turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Aata manages to end up in side control.
Harris struggling a bit here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Aata slowing the pace effectively.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Aata pulls guard successfully.
Harris throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Harris wants to pass the guard but Aata is keeping the position.

Harris prevents Aata from getting back to his feet.

Harris postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Aata is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Harris wants to control from the top but Aata keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Rolf Harris just wasn't active enough.

Aata closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Aata lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Harris tries to pull guard but Aata holds him up against the cage and eventually Harris drops back down to his feet.

Aata pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Harris tries to throw a body punch but Aata avoids it by throwing Harris back against the cage.
Harris tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Aata smiles and moves away.

Robert Aata is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Harris stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aata swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Aata is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Harris tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Aata smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rolf Harris. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Aata gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Rolf Harris has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Aata pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Robert Aata comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
