The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turnham throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The fight stays on the outside here - Turnham looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Holiday avoids the head kick by Turnham.
Turnham throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Holiday.
Holiday misses with a two punch combination.
Turnham shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Holiday as he avoids it easily.

Holiday tries to bum rush Turnham with a series of wild strikes but Turnham uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Turnham ducks under a wild hook from Holiday.
The fighters circling - Turnham throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Turnham fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Holiday manages to avoid it.
Turnham tries to close the distance and clinch but Holiday swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rusty Holiday seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice combination there by Holiday.
Turnham misses with a series of wild punches.
Holiday takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Holiday connects with a jab.
Turnham tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Holiday manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Holiday throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

and Holiday counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Holiday drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Holiday throws an elbow but Turnham slips to the side and avoids it well.
Turnham is looking for a sweep.

Holiday has an Americana. Turnham didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Holiday is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Holiday hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
