Strife has chosen One Winged Angel by The Black Mages as his entrance music. Cloud Strife will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crabtree Jr misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Crabtree Jr fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Strife, pushing him back against the cage.

Strife has Crabtree Jr pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Strife pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Crabtree Jr tumbling to the mat - Strife dives into Crabtree Jr's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Crabtree Jr is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Strife pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Crabtree Jr is keeping the position for now.

Crabtree Jr has his foot on Strife's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Strife works his way back into a safe position though.

Crabtree Jr is working an open guard so Strife takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Strife slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

It looks like Shirley Crabtree Jr has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Strife counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Crabtree Jr is breathing heavily.

Strife gets a takedown into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Strife lands a nice short elbow.
Strife looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Strife prevents Crabtree Jr from standing back up.
Strife has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
